Samantha
Samantha is the Deputy Director of Treasury’s Office of Economic Empowerment (OEE). Below, Samantha gives her perspective of working at Treasury.
What is your favorite part of working at the Treasury? “I work in the Office of Economic Empowerment. I love the mission of OEE and the culture of the Treasury in general. We are asked to think big, ask questions, and find ways to improve the lives of Massachusetts residents. My colleagues are the best.”
How have you grown professionally in your role at the Treasury? “Because of the tuition reimbursement program, I was able to get a master’s degree in public administration during my time at Treasury. Treasury offers flextime, which meant I could squeeze in my night classes after work. The Treasury values professional development and is constantly presenting opportunities for its employees to learn new skills.”
If you could describe the Treasury culture in one short sentence, what would it be? “The Treasury workplace culture is innovative, inclusive, and inspiring.”
Outside of the office, you can catch Samantha watching her favorite TV shows or spending time on the beach with a good book, no matter what season it is!
